Buffalo Ball-ets?
i recently ran across some boxes off these bullets on sale at Wal-mart. they are the 245 grain, and i was wondering if anyone knew about how well they performed interms of accuracy and expansion on white-tailed size game. i plan on shooting them out of a thompsom center Hawken with a 1and28 inch twist green mountain barrel. does this sound like a good combination for hunting deer?
thanks

I have shot them out of fast twist barrels and they did all right although the accuracy fell off at over 70 yards. I have much better luck with the 270 grain ballets for accuracy. Still they would be a good thing to plink with.
They also shoot good out of some 1-48 twist rifles if you have one.

I shoot the 270 gr. They shoot in the same hole at 50 yards out of my 1:48 twist barrel. At 100 yardsI get less than desireable results. Of course, it could be me and not the gun/bullet as I shoot iron sights and can't see the bull at all at 100 yards.
