Default Traditions Rifle Kits

Does anyone have any experience with these kits? How well do they shoot and would you recommend them? I was thinking aboutt he St.Louis Hawken but the Kentucky rifle is nice as well. I know they dont have instructions in the box. I was just going to go buy one from bass-pro.

They are good rifles. I have the kentucky flintlock and love it. Never any problems. Very good rifles for little money.

I was shooting my Tradition's Woodsman Flintlock today. It did just fine. Traditions makes a good rifle. A friend of mine bought his son that St. Louis Hawkins but not in kit form. Nice looking rifle actually. We had a little problem with it going off though, at first. Finally changed it over to a stainless steel hot shot nipple and pure Goex. All the ignition problems ended. It is a nice shooting little rifle. I was kind of impressed with it.

Hey barrabas... did you buy one? I'm going through the same debate. I'm hoping a local store will match the BPS price. They carry the Hawken kits and I have a gift card to use. Wish they had a .54 cal kit though.

If I was to buy one I'd deffinitly want mine in .54 but there are so many nice kits out there I'm hard pressed to pick one....
Moma would hang me for sure if I was to come home with more than one though....
