great news on a hunting trip I am going on
#1

I wife just told me that my uncle, who gets a deer every year, has agreed to take me where he got an nice 10 pointer last year. (5 mins after he shot that one a 12 pointer walked by) Only thing he asked if I mind walking 2 miles up a mounton. I probly walk 10+ at work, haling 60 to 80 lbs of beef, pork and chicken back and forth. I don't know if he is going to take during ml season.
I have to come cleaning, I have not shot a deer. Missed 3 last years, shooting beyond where I zerod my scope (first year using a scope and first year after a 10 year break from hunting). I am wanting to just hunt for meat, but I have ask myself would I turn down 12 pointer, the meat is a little tougher, but the rack would great with my swords.

that is why I added the ML, to give me more time to get a deer, VA has up to 6 weeks of deer season just between ML and rifle some areas (lucky you chap) has a little more. I have also set limits on my shots, ML and brush gun (sks) at 75 yards max, 30-06 at 100 yards max. which I have shot my ml at 75 yards but not with the load I am using but have shot at an 100 yards with that load I am using, it still would of got me some meat.
I also have some homemade stady sticks, I made them from bambo, to help me to keep still, I still can't get use to a scope after shooting open site.
