Default This Years Hunting Load

Got my hunting load for this year. 95 gr.777ff with a 777 primer. 300 gr.speer gold dot in a harvester crush rib sabot. Shooting out of an Omega. I tried regular win. 209 primers and got bad crud ring. Remington kleenbore i got less crud ring but a lot of blowback. Crud ring is about the same with the 777 primers as with the remingtons but no blowback. Getting good accuracy with this load.

That load = dead critters. Good luck this hunting season.

Good choice. 300 grain Gold Dots and crush ribs will be flying out of my Mustang this season also. Still tweaking powder charge, but it looks like it will be right around your load of 95 grains - maybe a little more.

That is a deadly load, I am using 100 of 777fff and Federal primer with same bullet. I have about 50 noslers to use up, then I am going to the Gold Dot. Got 4 boxes of em, so I should have enough for this year.

Sounds good, I worked out some of mine too with the Omega I will be loading 150gr RS and 50/40 sabot with a 200gr SW.
With the Triumph I will load a Speer 230 gr Gold Dot and 3 x 50gr Pellets.
These are my open country loads and group well at long range for regular hunting out of a stand on my own place I like a 250 gr Gold Dot and 110gr RS. I have used these loads before in the Omega with excellant results some mightthink the 230 load a bit lightbut I have used it on two deer so far one drop on the spot one went about 35 yds both were double lung shot and had a nice exit hole, never was able to recover the bullets.
