Anyone shooting a 10ML in WA State?

Do not think you can... 209 ignition only and it is a closed breech...
Yes, I guess you could if youe were to use it during the regular rifle season, that is what I do with my Omega - as it is not legal during ML season...

The 10ml is a fine rifle provided it is legal to shoot smokeless where you hunt.
I have a 10ml,Ultra-mag and an Omega.
I plan on using the Ultra-mag for elk in Co.
The Omega for deer in Co.
The Savage for deer in Wi.
I feel the White and Omega are far better choices than the Savage if you have to use BP.
If you can use smokeless the Savage will far outperform the other 2

I hear the fast twist and slightly higher velocity of the 10ml will blow even the bonded Shock Wave like a varmit bullet. I have tested the same bullet in several ways including on Boar and several mediums in my System One and my Omega and they held up just fine. I would have bought one myself except Ithough the twist was to fast for the bullets available. Lee

Think you heard wrong about blowing up the sw.I shoot a pretty stiff load useing sw and sst's @2440 fps,( have shot up over 26oo fps ) and haven't blowed up any like a varmit bullet yet. Some shoot higher fps than I do.
There were 8 deer from 78 yds to 225 yds and all complete pass throughs, with my savage this past year.Useing the SW and SSt's 250 gr.
You can get a lot of info from guys that actually shoot the savage at:

Check out the target below shot at 300 yds with the savage

Thanks guys!
I'm just learning the ML ropes here in WA state and the Savage smokeless powder option was very appealing to me if it could be made legal - via some easy to do mods, etc ... sounds like it's not an option unfortunately!
I would have loved to make a 209 to #11 conversion and be in business.
cheers,
phil
