Wow, what a surprise. They shipped from Utah to my local Sportsman's on the 31st. They said since they don't receive on the weekends, they would probably arrive on Monday or Tuesday. Went to Sportsman's this afternoon to buy some supplies for the new babies. Just in case, I asked one the the gun guys if they receive any guns from their other stores on Saturday. He said no and I said I am waiting on two MLs. He said he thought they arrived yesterday (Friday). Sure nuff. Now the fun starts!

Sweet[8D]. It will be interesting to see if the two have the same tastes in powder and bullets. Congrats on the new arrivals! Nice lookin' weaponry (and safe)!

What a great looking set of twins, that is impressive. Believe me you will have a lot less sleepless nightswith these two children than you will have with your other four.

If you get a chance, one up someplace and bore sight it. I am a bit concerned that you will have to replace the front sight. Think you will have to go to a shorter front sight. For lack of anything better, I have used just a plain old cardboard box, cut a couple of "V's" in it then set the rifle in the V's like a cradle. Bore sight it down a long hall, have Josh move a target into position where it is dead on in the bore, then see what the sights tell you.

Here is a web sight for sights...

http://www.williamsgunsight.com/rifle.htm

They are really good help also - I have their catalog which is a lot more detailed than the web sight - I'll see if I can round that up and bring it over.

When are your peep sights suppose to get there?

I am 99% sure that I can not get over this coming weekend - gotta work but will not know for sure until the middle of the week.

Between these two and the other four kids you will have lots to do this week @ home. But you will need to find some time someplace to tear the twins down and really clean them up. You will not believe how easily they disassemble.

Great looking twins - "atta boy"

I am sure you and your son will spend many hours shooting on the range and hunting with them. Nice looking rifles there. Good luck. Now you have to get out there and shoot and let us know what you think.

Nice going cascadedad! Those are some nicel looking MLs and the safe isn't too bad looking either. What ML supplies did you manage to buy at Sportmans? Also, what peep sights did you decide to purchase for the twins?

cheers,
phil

Would love to here how they shoot and what loads shoot the best out of both rifles and if both rifles like the same load. I know you and your son will have a lifetime of enjoyment from the rifles. Really nice pair of rifles. Congrats.

Everything was included. Both guns had a mfg date of 2003. One had the old 209 breech plug and the other had the new style. I changed them both to #11 though.

I am going to post some pictures!!!!!!!!!!!
