That is one fine looking rest, what do you have tied up in it dollar wise. I have been thinking of buying a bench rest, but after looking at thisI don't know?

Well a 2x4 at the box stores like HD or Lowe's is about $2.79 for an 8 footer(I used less than 6 feet). The bolts with nuts were $1.08 each. I had the spade bit, and the drill bit to enlager the bolt holes. I used 6 1 5/8 screws (a pound box cost about $7.00). My time is priceless at this time of year just sitting on my butt getting fat. Now in March, April and May don't even talk to me I don't have the time.

I would say my total cost is less than $5.00.
Make one and if you don't like it for shooting you can always use it for cleaning.

Revises the butt stock end today. The cap makes it so the butt is in the same place every time. Used that tape that goes between the cap and pick up box as a pad.
Seemed to work much better.
BUT, another post for that question.

Remington 700 54 Cal. with 209 conv.
