had the problem w/my SS/LAM. encore.it split under the pistol grip to the cap. mailed it on a mon. got it back fri. when i talked to them they said sometimes from the factory they are not SNUGGED down enough and when shooting the action slams back and cracks. service is #1. 200 rounds and no cracking,(knock on wood).and accuracy is 2nd to none.

I'm afraid lots of folks with the .45 caliber variation are having troubles with accuracy. Mine might be THE worst of those I've read about though. TERRIBLE!

Sorry to say I have one of those too,T/C sent me a box of the180 gr bullets to see if they shot better but I had allready tried them and they shot the same LOUSEY.I have tried redhots, barnes,Hornady, presion, powder belts to no avail for decent groups.T/C said they were working on new twist rate but hasn't come out with one yet,if you check the pression bullet site you can see he is trying one with a 1:28 twist. When I read it I was shocked to see the new Knight with the 1:30 twist didn't make the grade for he's test.
Don't understand though I have a Knight disk with the 1:20 twist same as the Encore and shooting the same load and bullet that I got one hole groups with last year the T/C won't group them even at 50 yds.
So I ended up getting a 50 cal barrel and it really shoots great using the right bullet.
