I have a powder horn that has several carvings on it. On one side is the date 1816 with a eaglehead above it,on the other side is a whole eagle. Also it has some scrolling with some type of metal inlay .The wooden end caps are put togather with a red resin that looks like tree sap.The horn is attached to a leather shoulder strap with 2 knives. One knife is a deer antler handle skinner, the other is a smaller patch knife with a turkey thigh bone handle. It seems to be really aged. What would this might be worth??

I'd have to agree that it doesn't LOOK like it could be that old. Take it to Antique Roadshow and see what they say
. If you think it could be authentic find a reputable appraiser and have it examined.
Good luck.
