Interesting and somewhat troubleing that they do not recoimmend bullets over 350gr. Not sure why but I guess that takes out my 460 and 488 conicals. Not sure if it is a thing with the powder that too heavy a bullet causes very high pressures or just that they can't claim high velocities so they want to limit to 350.

If I were to guess I would go with increased pressure. But It is a guess. I ran some ballistics on the Nosler 260 Part that I use for hunting load. To achieve 100gr Blackhorn velocity Iwould have to use 120 gr 777.

I have wondered about the restriction against the heavy conical to, they admit that this is a progressive burning powder so it follows a person would have to use a somewhat reduced load and that the velocity would be considerably lower, but thats normal anyhow, I suppose your are right about them wanting to keep their marketing image untill they get a clintel built up. Iagree that it would be a HIGH pressure spike. IMO, This looks like smokeless powder, cracked just enough to smoke a little. But when it comes to heavier bullets without sabots to ease the initial launch, that's when the High pressure spike will show itself[&:]

Think about it.....It says TIGHT fitting sabots, FIRMLY packed powder charge, SEALED breech plug---for best results. This is to harness that progressive burn pressure

I agree, itsounds like a fast burning smokless powder. Non corrosive, needs pressure, and no heavy bullets(atleast without reducing charge). Now all yall can have a savage!

I am curious to see if this stuff lives up to expectations. Sounds good but I've heard it before.

I just hope some dumbell don't load 150gr loose with a 300gr bullet.

There is nothing fool proof to a sufficiently trained fool.

Just got an email from Sportsmans Warehouse that indicates they will be testing it in some of the stores by June. The preliminary price is $29.99 for the 10 oz container. He also indicated that Albuquerque will be one of the stores on the list. I also sent an email to Western Powder about it but haven't heard back from them yet.
