Default gun adjustment?

while cleaning my sidekick I noticed the butt, moves a little (very little) but moves where it joins with the reciever, is there something in the butt, if I remove the recoile pad that I can tighten up so this does not shift up and down at all???

Correct, you have a retaining bolt or nut deep inside the stock. You will likely need an 3/8" drive and long extension along with say a 1/2" or so socket. Remove the butt pad and you will see the retaining bolt for the stock. Don't over-tighten and reef on it, you could crack the stock.

Good luck,
