Default The New Omega SLAYED 'em!

Big doe on opening morning andmy biggest buck yet, a 10-pointer the next morning. He's certainly not a magazine-cover deer, but my biggestthus far.I'm shooting 2 Pyrodex Pellets and a 250 grain Shockwave. No blood trail, however, both deer dropped within 80 yards of where they were shot, the doe only about 10. The buck was a 190-yard shot, which I have NEVER practiced anything over 120 and I simply adjusted up a little bit and put it right in the goods. The new T/C impressed the crap out of me and I'm a full-time blackpowder man come firearm season in Illinois from now on. All the other guys shoot shotguns and were on my case before we hunted for not being able to reload as quickly, but once they saw the range and accuracy of this weapon, they too were very impressed. For those of you who have helped me along in the process of getting me ready for gun season with my new Omega, I sincerely thank you. I know there were others, but Cayugad especially, thank you man. All your help has truly come back full-circle for me, so I hope you get some satisfaction out of this knowing that you helped a fellow hunter put tags on a couple nice deer with his new smokepole....

Congratulations on taking the deer. A buck and a doe and then you have to rub it in the face of the shotgun community to boot with a long distance shot like that.. I love it!! A 190 yard shot is hard with any rifle and you pull it off with a muzzleloader.. excellent.. What more can a person say. I bet you will see some converts next season or maybe as soon as tomorrow with new muzzleloaders.

Also , glad I was of some help.. just keep up the great shooting. Muzzleloaders are sure a great way to hunt.. Again, congratulations.

My TC Omega is now the Number 1 Killer in my gun collection, not a rifle, not a shotgun, just my TC!! Love it, wouldn't part with that gun for the world.

Here is the buck I took this year with it!!!

Wow!! Great shooting. Isn't itwonderful when everything comes together? This forum can give you, in a matter of a few days, the kind of cumulative experience that would take you a lifetime to put together yourself. Keep on hunting . . . they are overpopulated in Illinois, I understand.

Thank you guys. Indeed they are Roskoe even after record harvests,.......and I absolutely love itI just hope the doe population stays somewhat in check though, that seriously worries me. I try to make it a point to shoot does if I want meat.
