I use to visit this site while I was at a different job and life. Now that I have moved on, I can not come here at work, but only at home. I was Tomster, but I could not get that one back, so I'm here again.
Anyway, I started MLing a few years ago, start with a Traditions Deer Hunter. I had problems with the sights, replaced them with TrueGlows. I had problems with the triger pull, now it's sweet. I also have a CVA FireBolt, recently put a Bushnell Sportsman, re-sightedit in.
I'm shooting 90 grains on Triple 7, with the Aero tip PB's, 295 grain. I have tried many otherbullets, Shockwaves, round balls, Hornadays,Buffallo Ballets, and PB's are the best for loading and shooting.
I only shoot at the range 100 yards.
Last Wednesday, 6does came within range of one of my treestands, about 40 yards, and I took the biggest.
I love MLing and wish I could do it all the time....
Tomster

Welcome back Tom!
You have helped me tremendously on this forum when I was getting started with my flinter. It has only been a year and a half but regard you as an old friend. Funny how friendships built around hunting and shooting seem to root quick. Congrats on the deer and be sure to visit us often!
