finally found what my cva beartooth likes with a cold barrel, warm barrel, cleaned or fouled. it is the Hornady Great Plains 50 cal. 385 gr HB-HP. man they shot great with 90 grains of goex clear shot. at 85 yards there is only 1 inch differance between the cold clean and the warm or cold fouled barrel. they hit in a straight line right above each other. the warm fouled is the high one. so i think i stay with this load for hunting. i hated the thoughts or having to foul my barrel to make the balls shoot good. i"ve shot side-locks forever but am still learning with the inlines. thanks for the ideas guys.

That should be an excellent hunting load from everything from a whitetail to an elk. Sounds like you're set.. good shooting and good luck hunting.
