I use a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot scope on a couple of my rifles. Mine has the four different reticles and 11 brightness settings. If all your shots are 100 yards and under they are a good sighting device. Mine has a 3MOA dot that will hold a 4" group at 100 yards. It's supposed to shoot a 3" group but I am sure the difference is my fault.
At close ranges of 50 yards and under they are really a nice aiming device. Also in low light situations they are real nice to have around. The only thing I have found is that sometimes if the brightness setting is too high they will have a "tail" on the dot and you have to learn to ignore it.
I personally like shooting them. In our state magnified scopes are illegal, so the RED DOT is a good alternative.
