Default Primos hyperlip single?

Got a primos hyperlip single cow call, and have been practicing with it. Seems like after only a few blows, it starts getting clogged up with spit. Easy enough to clean with your finger or shirt, but wondering if I am doing something wrong, or if this is the norm.

Thanks

Yes it's a common occurence for cow calls to saliva up such as the Hyper Lip Single and all the others that work by blowing past the plastic reed. I own I believe everyone made, and at one time or another they do saliva up. I've never found it to be a real problem, just swipe with your fingers and you're good to go with most of them. (but not all) Cow calls such as the Hyper Lip Single are mainly only good for certain sounds like pre-estrus whines and lost cow sounds and the like, nearly impossible to calf talk with them or give good distress sounds of any sort. You'll see many demonstrations with them on the videos!! elknut1

I have the plastic reed type Carlton call and same thing happens. I just blow the crap out of it once in awhile and it works fine.
