Yes it's a common occurence for cow calls to saliva up such as the Hyper Lip Single and all the others that work by blowing past the plastic reed. I own I believe everyone made, and at one time or another they do saliva up. I've never found it to be a real problem, just swipe with your fingers and you're good to go with most of them. (but not all) Cow calls such as the Hyper Lip Single are mainly only good for certain sounds like pre-estrus whines and lost cow sounds and the like, nearly impossible to calf talk with them or give good distress sounds of any sort.
