One more time
#1
While this year has been a bit slow for elk, I am leaving to give it one more shot with the bow. Hopefully the elk will be a bit more cooperative these last days of archery season. If not there is always the cow tag for the second rifle season.
See you guys on Monday, hopefully with a nice set of antlers in tow or at least some meat.
Good luck to who ever is heading out.

Good luck BB. I picked up a bow for the first time in years recently and have been tromping about a bit in the last week. Came across a small 6X6 with 13 cows yesterday AM...50 yds across a fence on private property...other than that, Nada. Lots and lots of Mulies. On the upside, I' ve dropped about 8 lbs. and am feeling strong as an Ox from the effort. The Fall colors here are mind-boggling and the weather spectacular. Elk or no, it' s been a good outing. Got a good line on the whereabouts of a small herd moving about on the North end of the Ohio Creek Valley and will try to get amongst ' em this last upcoming weekend of archery. If no luck, I' ll be in good shape for a buck hunt in the Maroon Bells Wilderness 2nd season and for trying to fill an ES elk tag down in the La Garitas 3rd season. Be safe and have fun out there!
