I guess John Geirach will now have a better opinion of that thing he so often called "that big square thing between Colorado and Montana".

We will never cave in to the lefties.

Well..........if we do there's always AK.

You'll recall that S&W nearly ended themselves a while back by being PC instead of doing the right thing.

Though Remington is not doing the same as S&W did, they may still feel the pinch. Sad really, as they had to have seen the way the wind has been blowing there for some years now.

I do find it strange that YOU, who decry a boycott of Col. hunting ect. are urgeing this however, bit hypocritical don't you think?

If they raise the NR fees that will simply help to drive the boycott much, much more. So your sour grapes are noted as just that.

Funny, first you gave many good reasons for NO boycott, then you instead claim it'll help you have more hunting & fewer other hunters & to top it off wish for a fee increase on any that continue to hunt Col.

I'm wondering if this second self is the real one now that you've given it more thought. So much for looking out for your friends who will be hurt in a boycott if wide spread........

One of the better suggestions in this long thread & yes I've read every last post. I'd just say it as buy NOTHING in the Denver, Col Springs or Boulder areas period.

Spend money if going to Col. in the more rural areas where gun owner business is valued.

Col like most western state depends on NR fees to support it's wild life & keep in state tags cheap. So a full boycott will bleed the Col wildlife agency bad, real bad.

But does not really bother the Dems who passed this crap.

A full boycott well carried out will bleed many many small business owners & ranchers of income. I include ranchers as many of the smaller ones need the trespass fees from hunters as part of the yearly income. Does not mean I forgot the gun shop owners, restaurant & gas stations ect. just had seen no mention of ranchers being hurt & some would be.

I doubt the big city Dems will care about them.

But do like the idea to boycott the Denver, Col. Springs & Boulder areas & will as will by brother. My brother skis & fishes Col & I've fished & hunted there. We've both spent $$$ in Denver & Col. Springs areas, but agree we will not do so again.

Very disappointed in all the fighting I've seen reading this long thread between members here. Any anti reading this thread has to have a big, big grin.

Some say screw the outfitters, ranchers, restaurants, gas station owners ect. & boycott Col. Not me. I happen to like the ranch owners & the foreman of the ranch I've hunted on two of my trips & caught a few fish there in a small mt. river on the property, or perhaps would be just considered a large stream, not sure. Also enjoy stopping in at the sports/gun shop in Rifle when I've been there, nice folks all.

Others claimed to want to stop the boycott, then turn around and say......"go & don't ever come back!! OR, "Maybe they'll raise the NR tag fees next year in case you plan another one of these stupid boycotts." That's right guys burn any remaining bridges. While YOU may think this will leave you with fewer hunters to compete with you may also find yourself not hunting at all. The Dems in Denver don't care for you & may just price YOU out (250% increase for YOU, to make up lost $$$$), or just shut you out. You'll have no one but yourselves to blame with comments like the two quoted & others of that flavor. As others have posted, there are other states that also have plenty of game & treat gun owners better than Col. is doing at the moment. And comments like the above WILL help the boycott effort.

It' would be better for everyone one to send $$$$$ to help recall or otherwise remove from office in the next election those who voted anti-gun. $20-$40 or whatever you choose, but makes more sense to me than a boycott. And I think the Pols who voted anti_gun would note the inflow of $$$ to those they have to run against & will KNOW why. Just make sure you also let those you support with $$ KNOW why you are helping them.

Best of luck to you guys/gals in Col. you've a hard road to walk. And a house divided against it's self can't long stand. So I hope you within Col. have your act together better than it looks like here. Cause if you don't, these laws are just a beginning to your conversion to the Mt. of California...........

Not really. I always get my tags, and where I hunt i'm lucky to see one other hunter. We're usually both surprised to see someone else.

Never make assumptions unless you know someone better than just from a forum.

As you can see I was NOT making assumptions.

So I should not believe what YOU yourself posted Mulie? ?

That's interesting, I'll keep that in mind.

It's my friends that come first. If they want to raise the tags for those who boycott and hurt my friends. I could give a rats rump.

This was your assumption, and you're wrong.

IMHO no boycott will ever be big enough to affect any one particular part of the CO economy, including it's huge tourism industry, and hunting licenses haven't lagged since this law was passed, as can be seen by the big game draws that just took place.
