Default how can i have a successful black bear hunt?

Hello everybody, im new to the forum and also new to black bear hunting, I usely just elk and deer hunt and if i see a bear i will shoot it but i have been getting into bear hunting and need tips.

Im hunting in western washington so i cant bait.
and what area should i look for, and where should i hunt depending on weather, EX. if its 90 out should i walk threw the woods. or look in clear cuts. if you could post a list that would be awesome, saying something like

rainy: walk threw woods. open or closed
hot: look by water
warm: clear cuts.

Something like that. but any info can help a lot. also how do i use a predator call successfully. should i keep blowing or do it every 4 minutes. and how long do i do it for.

Thank you for everything you help with.

Keep an eye around berry bushes if any of the berrys are on them. You can see where the bears have trampled over them. The best time to watch around these bushes normally is just before dark. (early evening) Do you have any hardwoods with nuts falling on the ground? They normally hit them as well to put the wieght on before winter hits. This is hard to hunt as they can slip in and out of this stuff pretty quickly. Also keep an eye out for old logs that were ripped a part. Bears love to rip them a part to get to the ants in them. They also make a scent that will help draw the bears out. I am not sure what it is called as I do not hunt for bears. Any ways good luck to you.
