If hunting in bear country, I'd have my .338 WM (I'm sorry Browning X-bolt).
If bird hunting/fishing (in bear country), I'd have my .357 sidearm for sure.

If you are asking from antelope to brown bears, then change my response to 338.
In this case, the lesser animal doesn't even factor in. You must have enough caliber for the largest.
Ironically, the 338 will blow through an antelope with surprisingly little destruction, but it certainly wouldn't be among my first five picks for antelope.

For hunting around the big bears a 338 Remington Ultra Mag for hunting around areas where Id only encounter a black bear Id say a 300 WSM or 300 Remington Ultra Mag

What i ment was everything in NA.
If you can afford to go on a brown, polar, or grizzly bear or bison hunt then you can afford another rifle so this question is actually purely hypothetical.
IMO a Grizzly bear, Brown bear, Polar bear, and Bison warrant a .338 or larger.
Everything else will be taken care of very nicely with something smaller.
