Default Washington Black tail

Had a great hunt in Eastern Washington around Goldendale. The area is a transition area between Blacktail and Mulie. Mine is a 4 X 3 maybe slightly above average for the area. My buddy got a 5 X 5, biggest Blacktail I've ever seen. So long had to take the hind quarters off because when hung on the butchers hook the rear quarters dragged. Got his on opening day Saturday and mine the next day. Both with muzzle loaders. His shot about 80 yards. I pushed them out of the brush and on to a wheat field when he got his shot. My shot about 60 yards in slightly rougher terrain. My deerwas first in a posted zone, then jumped the fence into a legal hunting area as we watched. Got him about 2 minutes later as he contemplated jumping back over the fence into the posted area.
