ABM I thought that yours was a matthews 70lbs. lol. Didn' t know you knew what a rifle was.

But for me right now is my 270 weatherby mag but as soon as I can get a custon rifle made it will be in 8mm rem mag then that will take its place as my favorit.

ABM I thought you just flung arrows but now I know you also carry alternate weapons. Good to hear you are so diverse.

take care

Sorry can' t meet you in MD this month because I had a car accident and couldn' t make the trip.[:' (]

Tahr is a large hairy Mountain Goat. A bit like the North American version, and lives in similar terrain. It' s brown in colour. The male has a huge mane like a lion.
They are one of the most sort after big game trophies in the world. Originally they come from Nepal in the Himalaya' s. (I' ve seen them on the way up to Mt Everest Base Camp.) but they are found in New Zealand, where we are allowed to hunt them.
Chamois are a smaller mountain Antelope, originally from Europe, the ones here came from Austria. They have very acute senses and are a challenge to hunt, as they too live in Rugged/Mountainous terrain.

IMHO, rifles in 375HH are the best, all around, world class, go anywhere do anything, big game rifles.

For the good ole USA (and Canada) I' ll take my Model 70 in 338 Win Mag. Mucho power, not bad kick, easy to find ammo.

Just looking at our little poll here.

Looks like about half of our respondents use cartridges with the word MAGNUM on the ammo box for their FAVORITE BIG GAME RIFLE.

Pleased to see the relatively low number of " sub-30" calibers, the most notable being the 7mm which, at least in its Remington Magnum configuration, is a potent round.

Given all the talk about " recoil shyness" and " overgunning" (whatever that is) that is constantly bantered about the forum-- it would appear this group, overall, appears to be largely immune to such frailities.

Never Go Undergunned,
EKM
