Looks like I will be heading to Wyoming this fall. We drew our deer and antelope tags. Can't hardly wait. It has been two years since I was out hunting in Wy. I always have a good time whilehuntingin Wy. car

Car, What area did you get drawn for? I took my first trip to WY last year (for my first antelope) and had a blast. We hunted the early muzzleloader season about 30 min West of Laramie and seen hundreds of antelope. It was not a very physical hunt, but man was it fun. Also, all the bad comments about antelope meat couldn't be farther from the truth in my opinion. Hope you have a great time.

I thaw it out and throw it right on the grill, cooked medium rare and it is excellent (even better with beer). I think a lot more has to do with the handling of the animal once it is shot as opposed tohow it is prepared in the kitchen.

I hunt around the Newcastle area. I've taken 2 antelope in the past and like the meat very well. This year I will have 2 antelope tags to fill.

I've shot ,cooked and ate a lot of antelope. It all come down to how You take care of the animal before it gets packaged.
If at all posssible don't run your goat before shooting it. then get it gutted, skinned and cooled.
Do not let it role around in the back of a pickup for 8 hours before you take care of it.
I've taken them in winter wheat to sage brush. they will all be the same some darn good eating.
