Some bear hunting questions
So im going to be going bear hunting here next weekend and have some questions.
Is field dressing a bear the same as adeer or is there something else I should know? Here the law says to leave evidence of sex naturally attached,I just dont see how you can do that if you gut it out, any advice?
We have had a lot of rain lately, do you think that will keep them in their dens longer or make them come out sooner because stuff is starting to green up more?
Finally, any word on 2006 bear contest on this site?

Gutting bear is the same as gutting any other big game animal. For proof of sex, just cut the skin right up one side of the boys and on a female leave the mamaries intact. It should be no problem. If you are baiting. The rain will keep them from roaming a little, but watch out after the storm stops. They should be moving a litlle bit after a good rain.

Here you have to leave the sexual organs attached on almost all animals. It's very easy to do. When you get to the organ, just cut the hide or skin, leaving the organs attached to that part of the hide. Then you can go back with a meat saw and cut the pelvis and clean like any other animal.
