Guys, I guess we will go with FanTom Assassins as our team name. I'm off to Texas for a few days. Hopefully I'll be bringing back a couple of Rio's.

curtispa14 has found you guys finally. sorry for the delay, but glad to be here. live in pa. and will hunt in tn. early april and pa later on. am a 38 yr. veteran to hunting but most of the time has been spent with a bow in hand for deer and bear. only one turkey with bow while buck hunting (that may not count.) bought a new mossberg 500 at thumbhole. Patterned it with 3 1/2 hevi blend and am ready to start running and gunning. Good luck to all!

Guys, I think we now have a 12 man team. Just remember to post your kill and picture here on this thread. Again, if you don't know how to score a bird, give me the beard length, each spur length, and weight, and I will score it. There is a scoring calculater in the NWTF website that will add up your score for you after you type in the measurements. Just go to nwtf.org. My Texas hunt this past weekend was a bust. The weather was horrible. Rain and wind pretty much ruined most of it. I did see a couple longbeards, but they were with many hens. I was able to call in 7 or 8 different hens, but no longbeard in tow. It's tough to hear anything when your hunting in 30 to 35 mph winds. Sunday morning was decent, just cold. Heard three gobblers, but they were either way off or just henned up. There are very few gobblers this year down there. I guess the 2 year drought took its toll. I'm ready to get to my property. I had a couple gobbling good last week, so I will start working on them. Good luck to everyone.
