Alrighty then...I'll be the first to put us on the board then? Had a great weekend on the farm in KS. Filled both of my tags with decent gobblers. Friday mornings hunt was the quickest turkey hunt that I've ever experienced. Was in the blind set up just as the first birds started gobblin', and I only had one bird come to my side of the creek and he hit the ground about 100 yards from me and I gave him one set of yelps and he literally ran all the way to by decoys. I made good on the 8 yard shot and he made it about 40 yards and expired.

Since all the birds went out of the creek the other way Friday morning, I moved over there Sat. morning and had quite a show. There were 6 full strutters in the bunch and I got two of them to come to investigate my set up and one of them paid the ultimate price. I took the shot at 16 yards while he was broadside full strut. He actually made it about 150 yards back to the creek but I found him easily just inside the tree line where he went in at. He's a little bigger bird in all aspects than the first one I shot. This one's stats are 21# 8 oz., left spur 1" right spur 7/8" and he had a 9.5" beard. Total of 59.25.

TG, might have something to do with the fact that I was going to be one of the first in the field hunting....just saying....

Just glad I didn't let the team down. Now I get to play cheerleader for the next several weeks. GO team GO.....GO team GO.......Shoot straight...shoot to kill and on top the heap our team WILL.....GO team GO.....
