Here are a few pictures of my cabin, it was a shed and some friends and I have been working on it slowly most of this year, I hope to have it done by the spring. it still needs the woodburner hooked up and some trim work. as well as some wood sealer in the inside.

well we are on the board.not what i really wanted to start us off with but we scored.went out sunday night after a long day of trackin and dragin other buddies deer, spend more time doing that the i get to hunt.ot was about 5:45 i looked behind me and saw him coming down out of the thicket.he walked right to the corn lot, made a right turn through one of my lanes then the second lane still havent even picked my bow up yet!i'm not going to shoot him its just a 4 pointer.next thing i know he turns and comes across the hedgerow and within 5 seconds i have my bow in hand, release hook.he make 3 more steps he's in the clear leg foward head down 8 yards and the next thing i know he's tearing up the trail with two huge rage holes in him!he went 60 yards and dropped, best part was he was only 40 yards from my truck.i guess i have to put my time into getting ryan a bigger buck than mine now!! that shouldn't be to hard.

Congradulations joe that is still a great trophy. The experienceof taking a deer is everything no matter of size. I had, sorta had, a chance at a 8 pointer that was a little wider then yours but about the same height that I was gonna take. Sadly I was walking back to the cabin when I saw him and he stared at eachother for minutes.

any score yet?
My prediction would be high 50s low 60s.

Nice work joe, sounded like you had a perfect hunt! couldnt ask for it to go any better, well he could have been 200 inches, but really what a perfect way for it to go down, congrats!

Great job Joe!! That "looks" like an old deer in the face/body. Can't hardly believe it's a 4 point. Way to get us on the board!!

I spoke with BTbowhunter yesterday. He is now in Illinois on his lease in Brown County. His first day he had a 160" class buck come through. A couple of his friends saw it the day before. Hopefully just a matter of time before he deflates him.

I'll keep you up to date in his stead. He'll be out here in IL through our first gun season in late November.

Good luck Team 44

Last night I had 7 deer come in (1 buck for sure but couldn't tell how big).
This morning I walked up the hill from our cabin and was just starting to cross through the gate when I saw a doe run off. I shined the line light over there and their stood the buck from halloween night. 20 yards away broadside. It was too dark. I couldn't even see the buck without the light. I shut the light off and just slowly bent down and I tried waiting it out but then I heard the buck trot off. Friday night I didn't have a clear view of this buck but I knew it was big. This time I saw it clear and it was a perfect 8 pointer. beams went past the ears and was 7-8 inches tall. I predicted the score of 150-155.
Ill share more later. Im heading back out to the cabin.

Well no luck this evening. We did see 11 does.
Saturday night we got 4 coons. I got three and my grandpa got the other.

very left= grandpas, the rest=mine

This morning I had a young doe come in to me. It was looking at me and sniffing the air trying to catch my scent. But she never did.
I snapped quite a few pictures.

She was finally walking off into the corn and then I did a doe bleet. She turned around and trotted right to me but then she got to close and finally spotted me.
