I can see Tim why you get overrun with waterfowlers! I've been out to SD once for a week of pheasant and waterfowl, and it was a blast, but if I go out there again it would be with my bow. I saw at least 2 shooter bucks a day while I was out there.
The Take Quality Pictures thread has been posted gents, so if you haven't already read through it, please take the time to do so. Let's also start getting an idea of whose seasons are opening first so we know who to wish luck to early on. Here in WI our season opens Sept 13th, but it hard to get real excited if it's 80*.

Great deer guys Hope I can add to those inches (it wont be much). The deer down here are not known for their antlers we'll just say that much.
Nathan

What type of terrain do you hunt?? example... big woods, ag land, swamp landor ect... What is abig buck to you ( field dressed weightand rack size ) for your area?? When does your season start and end??

Tim
There are two main WMA's I hunt one is further north and has a lot of what I call ridges and pines Turkey oaks and its more open. The other place is about 20 mi. south and it has a lot of pines and oaks and swamp. It is over 100,000 acres of land so there is a lot to choose from. A big deer here will go 150 on the hoof and anything over 120 is HUGE.
Thanks, that is interesting. You've got a lot of land to hunt !! Is there a good population of deer?? I know next to nothing about Florida on how good the deer hunting is so I am curious. Do you have any pictures you can post of your hunting area if it isn't a problem??

This iswhat my area looks like....

Tim
Sorry no pics but I can pull up a map of the areas give me a sec. The deer pop. is much better than it use to be. Avan Park (the 100,000 acre one) has improved very much since they put an antler restriction of 3 points on one side. Its an air force range so its really big and flat.

I know what you mean about both subjects!!!! Obama is one of those that will say what you want to hear. First, he wants to pull the troops out of Iraq, then he says he will stay to the bitter end blah blah blah this and that, always saying something that contradicts what he saud yesterdya.........I mean, come on. Make up your mind and stick to it.... He won't be getting my vote, come hell or high water!!!!! (sorry if I offend anyone on our team, but I don't think there is any Obama supporters on this forum.....)

Oh yeah, back to hunting.......I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!! this is my first bow season and I am PUMPED!!!!!!!!
