Haven't been out hunting since last Sunday but the deer movement is picking up (no bucks though [:@]). Have had a cold front or two come through and cool things off. Finally getting a nice soaking rain today. We had a wee bit of rain last week that got my (small) food plots going so this should really get them going. I'll be back out Saturday and Sunday. I'm with you mo....first doe is getting an arrow sent her way:D

My best chance at a buck may be the 20th -28th. Hunting with Germ, Tfox, bloodcrik, Tembry and others at Higginson-Henry WMA in western Kentucky:D

I will be rolling out of bed less than 12 hours from now to hopefully go out for the first day of the archery season, though there is a forecast of rain, will have to stick my hand out the back door for a instant forecast, then check the radar to see what is coming..... I will hunt a drizzle, but I don't think I will sit out in a steady rain.....

Good luck to all of you whose season has started. Our season (Kansas) usually starts on the 1st of Oct. but this year it is starting Sept. 22nd. So another 10 days for me. Good luck.

Good luck Sherm ! We had our rain today. Weekend is supposed to be "chances" of showers. Don't mind drizzle, but with such a long season I don't have to sit out in the rain.:D

I still have about 18 days....we start Oct. 1st. I saw my big guy again in the nature preserve...nothing but bone and he is beginning to fill out in the chest and neck.

well mine opens monday. good luck to everyone else goin out this weekend. i'm gonna have the camcorder opening morning with one of my partners so we will see what happens.

Well, even thought season only runs till Nov 20th;), opening day is only one day, along with this is the dumbest the deer will be all season, and with a east wind I can sit on the opposite side of the bedding area and hopefully see where the deer are coming from to try and set up on the other side of the bedding area for a later date....... I will sit out in light rain and see what happens, even if there is little chance of something coming by close.......

Bow is in the truck, clothes are all ready to go, as long as the rage broadheads fly the same as the practice heads, i think i am ready to go....

I wouldn't worry to much Wiaxle. i'm shooting them this year and i just had to try one of the BH just to mae sure and it flew great.
