Got smelt this morning by a nice doe. She wasnt to spooked thought. she had 2 other does and a yearling with her. She blew and thye just kept eating for 5 minutes then turned around and walked off. I think she smelt my trail i walk in on. Oh well going back out this afternoon to see if i can get one.

Well the wife got called in at 4am his morning at the hospital so i'll have to wait till this afternoon. only gonna have a little while before the rain comes in. but i'm still gonna get out.

Went out yesterday for an AM & PM sit. Saw nothing... black squirrel & owl. Not a single deer. Going back out this afternoon to another spot. Yesterday's spot takes a good 45 min walk in and out.. don't have time today.
Brother in law will be in that area tonight.

well yesterday turned out to be very uneventful. although i did put an animal down it wasn't the kind i was looking for. after sitting on the stand fro a couple hours in a misting rain with light winds i was thinking they was gonna start moving any second. then i heard the footsteps. Looked over and it was a coyote. oh well i said if he comes close enough i'm shooting.(we have alot of coyotes around here) he comes within 15 yards, i draw back and release. i was high enough that the arrow actually pegged him to the ground for a sec. he finally got the arrow out and trotted into a little thicket. i decide to get down to find him and guess what. he was headed right for his den.
would've took pics but i didnt really feel like crawling in the den to drag him out. ab
absolutely no deer sightings though. didn't figure i would after he came through.

Nice job Mo... kill every one of those things!
Went out yesteryday pm... jumped one going in. Heard one walking while I was sneaking out in the dark. Never spooked. The deer are there. Maybe tonight.

oh you bet Western. if anymore come in range they will go down to. they royally screwed up my turkey season last spring and we cant kill them during turkey season. so the rest of the year is revenge time.

Bad luck last night... shot at a doe last light... nicked a branch, glanced off and hit in briskit.
Tracked 400 yards w/ very spotty watery bright red blood. Took 400 yards, never found a bed, never jumped the deer... lost blood.

that does suck. i finally got some decent temps now just gotta wai for harvest to get done so i can get some movement again

Good luck to everyone going out this weekend ! It is ML weekend here in KY so I'll probably not go out. Hard to make myself wear orange while bow hunting[:'(]:D I do have a stand to put up though. Good luck and be safe !

Well movement is defintely picking up. saw 4 bucks and one doe yesterday. had to throw some stalking in but it was cool. got to about 30 yards but unfortunately they where only 1.5 year old spikes about 7 inches tall. but it was still a blast to get in close with them.
