Wis, I know I'm a little late but reading how excited you are about the buck is getting me pumped.
I went out Saturday but with a muzzleloader (early 3 day season in MD) saw a couple of does but passed.
Am going to try and get out tomorrow evening with the bow. The weather has finally turned colder and makes it feel like deer season again.
Good luck to everyone and most of all
Let's stay safe out there!

Why I went out today I have no idea. It was raining like crazy and I got soaked hunting from 3pm-dark....ughhhh. I got down the last hour in the pouring rain and scouted slowly...at least I benefitted from that hunt besides just freezing my tail off. I really believe I will have a good shot on Thursday and Friday of this week...30th and 31st. GOOD luck everyone.

well guys i shot a nice doe tonight, dressed out at 130 pounds.. there were 7 deer within 20 yards of me with another one about 70 yards from me bleating up a storm... pretty cool, but the doe i shot ducked down about a foot and hit it in the spine, hit the artery but still couldnt watch it suffer like that so i got down and shot it in the heart... Wed. night i'll be going to my buck stand so hopefully i'll give ya good news... good luck guys

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while been swamped with work, kids and everythig in between. I have been out a few times as of late but have not seen a lot of movement. I did get out Sunday and catch a small buck on his feet but it did not offer me a shot. Now that it has really cooled off I have seen a lot of scrapes opened up which means things should be heating up in the next couple of weeks. I have a week off coming and hopefully have something worth writing about next time.
