That's too bad Tbone!, Any more information? How high inthe tree, how far, quartering away??? Sometimes it helps to get a "bird's eye" view of the trail it took to figure out where it went. Consider it a learning experience and remember to aim for the exit hole.

I have not been out. Between weddings, work, and family events i can't get in the woods. It's so darn warm too, so I know the deer by my house have been staying in the deep woods til after dark. My dad did take a nice doe saturday AM up north. This was his first deer in a while so that was nice to hear.
Good luck everyone!

Could have just been rubbing to kill some time, who knows. i've seen rubs from the beginning of September right on through the end of December.

I did take a nice doe on Sat. AM. Finally got set up with a buddy to video and we had a doe come in being followed by a little fork horn. The buck was a good size deer but a real goofy shaped rack only about 6-7 inches long. Maybe 5 minutes later a nice doe with a fawn came in. She teased me about 15 yards away for a few minutes and since I did have the camera rolling I put one through her. She ran about 75 yards and expired in under 30 seconds, stumbling a few times along the way. Ishot a bit too far forward and took the slick trick through the shoulder blade, but she did not go far. i waited for 45 minutes or so, but nothing else came by. Got her cut up that morning and my landowner says, "Ok, one down three to go right?" So i guess he's ok with taking some deer off his property.
Anyone else having any luck?

Went out the past2 days wed morning had a beagle chase a 130'' 8 point right under my stand couldnt get them to stop i even tried yelling at them but it didnt work. Had a doe pick me right out of the tree when i stood up my stand creeked. This morning i only saw three does that were to far to shoot. This evening it was so hot i went out anyway only seen a glimpse of one deer right at dusk.
