Well guys, nothing to report from this weekend. Only buck I saw yesterday was a young spike. Mostly a bunch of fawns running around. I did see one nice mature doe but she never came within 60 yards. Looks like a busy week for me so I probably won't be back out until Saturday unless I can manage to leave early and hunt after work.

All I have to say is........WOW ~ BBD!!!

Okay, you ready for the story???

The buck walked out on the guy at about 8 in the morning...he took a broadside shot and killed it. Then he drove by and the guy I hunt with measures deer for P&Y. They pulled the deer out of the truck for a picture to put in the Bowhunter Magazine here. I figured, hey, this would be a fun!!!! lol

It was a great deer but unfortunately, I didn't kill it...lol

Good luck to the rest of the team...my archery season is over where I hunt but I am planning to go to another spot and give it another shot.

Bummer ... well you had me going there.

Jeramy, at least you're getting to hunt. I had a cousins wedding this weekend that I had to go to and video for him. Been a long weekend, BUT I got to see a lot of family members that I don't get to see too often, and that in of itself is a blessing!
Next weekend, rifle pronghorn here in CO. I'll have my bow along with me just in case because the ranch that we will be hunting for pronghorn is also thearea that my archery mule deer tag is good for, and if I see a whopper mule deer, well, to heck with a little antelope!Mule deer season starts tomorrow.
