Was riding around my main hunting area tonight. Got the full down low on the logging. Short and sweet there will be almost no impact to my hunting.
Saw a decent 2.5 year old out there, he'll be nice in a another year or 2.
I get to start hunting saturday, but does only. I really hope to drill one this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll have the longbow or not for the opener. I'll definitely be carrying it next week though. Where I wan't to hunt saturdayI need to be up a tree and I tried shooting that thing from my stand and I just bang it off the tree, my leg, the rail on the climber, its not pretty. I need to be picky with my ground setups and playing the wind. I got to get REAL close.

Well guys, i put up a stand this morning on another property that has produced alot in the past. I was pleasantly surprised when i got there, there are three apple trees that are getting hit hard right now by the deer. Ill be back in the morning to hopefully knock the wind out of an old fat doe. Everyone have a great weekend.

good luck this weekend ryan - I have an idea - lets change a 6 to a 7 on some tickets we have and jump on a plane in the morning!

Are we supposed to be whacking a bunch of does this year?

Best of luck to all you guys out hunting this weekend!

Take care - Mike

Hope the rest of the guys out today had some luck.
I was able to take a nice size adult do this evening. It'll be inner loins for breakfast tomorrow

I don't know what its like where everyone else is, but the last 3 morning have been incredible here. Upper 30's to mid 40's at 7AM. If that doesn't get you pumped for the season I don't know what will! My buddy called yesterday morning and said he started sleep walking that morning. He walked to his garage, grabbed his stand, and started climbing a tree in his yard!

Congrats on the first of the year. Did you take her with compound or traditional? Less than two weeks and I'll be out hopefully doing the same thing on opening day.
