Acorns are everywhere, Predator it is so true about the ladder stands keeping you out there. I love being at 20' in a lock on it is so much easier to stand. I like to stand for 40 min and sit for maybe 10 and then right back up again.

HEy guys, hows it going? Havnt been out in a while, but I wil be going out Sunday for most of the day. I myself like the laddet stands, I dont like heights, so I like the feeling of having something under me, and not just hanging out there. Plus, I'm not even 12' off the ground. I am thinking about going today to pick up another one.

Hey everyone,
I am back from SD. The trip was great and I saw a lot of deer. The first night I shota buck that may have scored around 125". It was a 20 yd. shot from a 33' high stand. I hit him and he when straight down then got up and ran away. I found my arrow about 100yds. fromthe shot. There was not one spot of blood onthe arrow. Never heard of anything like it. On the last day Ihad 140" class deer at 41 yds. but could not get the shot off. Thebucks were really turning upthe heat the last few days. The last night we watched 6 big bucks fighting ina field. Next year we are going out a week later. Sorry I couldn't bring one home.

We'll I saw my first buck tonight and shot him down!I'll give you the story, I got to my stand about 3:30 sat for an hour or two with no action and then it started raining almost like a sleet and the deer came from everywhere to the bait (it's legal in the U.P of MI)so there is six doe in the pile when I see something coming from behind me a nice 8 point about 90 to 100 inches of horn I draw as he's under me and he gets to the bait and he's facing away from me!So I let my draw down and wait for my shot which seems to take half an hour,probably five minutes then he turns finally and I drive it right through both lungs and it stops in the opposite shoulder he runs about 50 to 60 yds stops turns to look back and drops like a sack of potatoes!!!Yahooooooo I'll have the pics on monday after work.We are on the board!!!!!!!!Go team 25!!!!!!!!!

HEWWWW my fears of the no hitter are gone !! Thanks for putting us on the board.

I wish I felt more positive I have seen some BUCKS around but nothing on my property to talk about lots of doe's and there fawns..lets hope things change this weekend

Andrew, did yu get that thing scored yet, so we can officialy be on the board? Cant wait to see the pictures.Went out on Sunday, and had a spike 10 yards in front of me, would have been a chip shot, but there was no way I ws going to take him when we are this close to the rut.;) Cant wait until this weekend, it will be the first weekend in a lomg time that I get to hunt as much as I want, and it sounds like it is going to be cold.:D I would think the bucks should be on the move by then. Go team.
On a side note, I have a guy that works for me that is on team 47, and they have 1 deer too, but it has been a week or better, and he still dont hae it scored yet. Its kind of fun here at work going back and forth with my buddy. Good Luck Everyone!!

I got a call form my dad last night he seen a 150" buck twice this weekend. The buck is a massive 10pt. most likely the sheds I found this last spring. I am going down to hunt on Nov. 5th althought shotgun is open that weekend I will most likely be hunting with the mathews. good luck to all and congrats to Andrew!

Since I harvested my eight pointer I have passed up two more eight points at the same stand!one of them had a little bit bigger rack than the one I took but the body was'nt as big,the other was about the same but I have seen a big ten running around there and I'm waiting for him good luck team 25!!

Drizzu213, I see the buck in the scoring thread. I'm pretty sure you need to list out all the specific measurements (g1, g2, etc.) to make it official.

I'm getting skunked guys. Not sure what is going on. What used to be my honey hole has turned into a community park for my housing plan. Last night I get in my stand and the neighbor starts riding his gocart all thru the fields. Could have shot the tires out and he never knew I was there. The other neighber takes her dog for a run every morning. I have no right to say anything as it is not mine but it just stinks.

I just got a call from the farm I am hunting just he other day they seen a 12 pt come to the edge of the field where my stand is. I will be in the stand for the next few afternoons so dont expect to here much from me. ;)

Hey guys, with Drizzu's buck scored, that puts us in about 19th place.:DWell, snuck out of work a little early today so I coiuld get an afternoon hunt in, but got skunked. But I get to hunt all weekend. I will be going out in the morning, and then again in the afternoon, same thing on Sunday. Then next week, I took Thhursday and Friday off so I could get some more in before the guns come out on Saturday.[:@] Goodluck Teammates!

I sat on a nice scrape line from sunup to sundown yesterday! No luck! I was going to go back this morning, but it was pouring out, so I stayed in bed!! Maybe this afternoon I'll head out again!!

Well, just got back from my morning hunt. I passed on a small buck, but I had to think twice aboiut it. He was a horse body wise, but he only had 3 points on the left, but the part that odd, wsa that his right side grew straight down, curving right along hes face, and grew down along his neck. I am guessing that at some point in time, he must have brole his skull plate. MOved one of my laddet stands before I came home. I will be back out there afterr lunch, and some work around the house.

Got out this am and had a nice 8 point (probably 100-110") sneak in behind me as I was getting ready to tie up my bow to lower it down. got turned around but my stand made a little noise and he stood there behind me for a good 5 minutes before he movedoff. Also saw 3 other doe, a coyote and a flock of turkeys.

I went out this am and had a spiker at 8 yds!! This afternoon I saw a doe, but she never came any closer than about 80yds!! They are finally starting to move here in CT!!

I was out this afternoon (It was perfect). On my way to my stand I seen a doe standing under my climber which I left afixed to the tree. I just waited for her to leave and off she went. got up in the stand and had a nice big bodied spike come into at 25 yrds (here in Pa I'm in the 3 on one side area). An hour later a six pt came in from a totally different direction. Now it was about 5 o'clock so I decided to rattle alittle and use my grunt call. about 100 yrd behind me I actually heard two bucks fighting. Shortly after the fight I had a nine point walk to within 15 yards broadside. It was a small 9 point. It took everything in my power not to kill this deer but I know there is the 12 point out there and I think a few more trips in the woods and I will connect. There a plenty of deer around and it is early I am sure the Big Guy will make a mistake soon..

Cool looking buck. Chalk up another for the good guys. My vacation started today and hardcore hunting starts tomorrow. Went out last night and saw 3 bucks. All were sniffing and covering lots of ground. The seeking stage is here!

Things are finally starting to heat up here in CT!! I've been out alot, but been mostly seeing does!!! I have my next two weeks planned as 6 hour workdays, so I can hunt either the am or pm every day!!

Had my first buck,up close, this year, this morning!! The ground is all tore up on this ridge I've been hunting, so I brought the Tinks with me this morning! Just at shooting light I blew a half dozen doe bleats, about 5 minutes later I here the familiar crunch of leaves behind me! I turn around to see a decent half rack! He had 4 points on the one side, and the other was broke off right at the skull!! The g2 was about 8 inches long, and he was just about even with his ear. He came right in down wind of me and at about 15 yds he winded me. He blew and turned and bounded a couple times and stopped perfectly broadside at 20 yds! Head behind a tree and everything! He sat there and studied the terrain for about 3 minutes, then he circled me never getting more than about 30 yds! He walked right over and took a big whiff of my scent wick loaded with Tinks!! He was within 30 yds for about 15 minutes. He just stood thereby my scent wick looking around trying to find the doe! He finally gave up and slowly walked away!
Had he had both sides of his rack I would have taken him for sure!!

I've been hunting as much as possible lately and the action is starting to pickup! Today i saw 7 different bucks and to top it off the biggest was a beautiful white racked 10 point that is pushing 160. Came out of nowhere and wondered all over, just not close enough to my stand.[:@] 62 yards was the closest i ranged him. I have no trail cam pics of this deer and none of the neighbors have mentioned anything so shhhhhhhhhh! I am not gona be able to sleep untl i see him again. lol

hey pred i know how you feel i hunted saturday afternoon from 2 til 6 15 only seen a small buck chaseing a doe but today my dad said he seen a nice 8 where i hunt he does not hunt so i cant really know how nice it was if he thinks anybuck looks big lol anywa i went and graped my cam and there was pics of him and another monster both i have never seen b4 so ill be hunting hard this week if i get off work early enough b4 darki f not ill have to do it saturday for our last day of the first bow season of the year but i have a feeling it might be my week now that things are picking up ill have a chance at my first ever deer and i decided not to go rifle hunting this year becuase i really want my first buck to be with a bow and rifle just does not seem to be as fun lol anywa pics are on the trial cam forum under PA bucks check em out i do have pics of bigger ones tho but i dont hunt where i got the pics so i dident post those ones but the ones i posted are right under my stand about a 15 yard shot

It's offical!!!!!
The best time to be in the woods is at the same time as the gun hunters. Saturday was the best and worst hunting day of my life. The full story would take up about five pages on the forum. I'll give you guys the short version. Bad news first, I missed a 160" to 170" buck "absolute pig". Good news,I shot a massive 10pt. should score around 140. Also closed the deal with a high 120" 9pt. My uncleearlier took a 120" 8pt. WALL HANGERS EVERYWHERE! In the woods only 4 hours seen 7 bigboys.
