Drizzu, here I got my epidural injections in my back two days ago and man am I sore!I am hoping this corrects or at least helps my back pain so I can get out on the first of Oct.We are already getting nights in the 40 degree range it the U.P. and my neck is starting to swell and I'm starting to rub and scrape in my house!!by the way team,we have to talk more on our thread!go Bone Collectors team 25!!

Did some fishing yesterday! I only caught a couple, but still had some fun!! We were just doing somecatch and release! (snapper and harbor bluefish) I hooked asmall snapper andIwas realing him in, when I almost had him to the boat, Isaw a harbor blue chasing him, so I eased up on the realing, and wham the harbor blue grabbed him! I gave him a little slack to allow my hook to get in his mouth.I set the hook, and the fight was on! It was only about an 8 pounder, but them bluefish are some fighters, they never give up!!!! All in all a goodafternoon on the Niantic River, and in the Long Island Sound! Bait and fish jumping everywhere!!!

Went and picked up my tags for the season today!!! I decided to leave the slug gun home this year!! I picked up deer archery, turkey archery, deermuzzleloader, and pheasnttags!!
Last year I didn't get archery turkey tags, and had 2 great chances to take one! Including one big ol tom, with a 6"+ beard!!
I've never shot a turkey before, so to get my first, and have it be with a bow, would be great!!!

Well the stands are set cameras are charged and strapped to the trees.

Well guys it's finally here!!!! In themorning I will be in da tree!!!!!! I can only hunt a couple hours, because I have a golf scramble at 1pm!! If we weren't the defending champs, I'd skip it, but we have to try to defend our title!! Last year we shot -15 and won by 2 strokes!! It's all for a good cause too! The CT Childrens Hospital gets 100% of the proceeds.

Golf rates right behind hunting for me. I'm not great at it, but ususally shoot in the mid 80's. I've even been lucky enough to get a hole in one, on fathers day 2005!!

Come on guys, wake up, lets get some chatter going in here!! About 10 more hours, and I will be in my tree. I have never done much morning hunting before, but that is my 1 and only goal for this year, I want to get out there and see the sun come up more often. Just have never been much of a morning person before. So what does everyone else do more of, morning hunts, or evening hunts?

I've been trying, but it seems like I'm talking to myself!!! LOL

I've always been, in the stand before the sun comes up, still hunt from 10-2 ish, and back to the stand till dark!!! If I can hunt all day!! I do!!!


Sun up at 6:28!!! Less than 8 hours I can start slinging!!! I'll sleep 6 hours if I'm lucky!!

Hey Bigdaddy I guess maybe a competitor coming into your thread will make your boys talk a little more. Goodluck in the morning, better bundle up to i just looked at the thermometer and it says 30 degrees. Sounds like i'm gonna have to tell Hammer to make you guys work some more Saturdaysso you can't hunt so much.haha. At least you can sleep right now, I'm used to working nights so now Im stuck waiting another 4 1/2 hours before i can go to my stand, to make it worse my release finger keeps twitching:D

Well, my opening day hunt came, and went. I saw 2 does and a spiker, and had a doe at 22yds, but she never offered a good shot, so I let her walk. It was enough to get the blood pumping, and it now has set in, deer season is back baby!!!

I did manage to get soaked, as it rained all morning! Well now I'm off to golf!!!

Rain???????? Where the heck were you hunting at?? It was beautiful down here. Nice and frosty.:DSaw 2 does on the way to my stand. Only sat for a couple of hours, but will be back out there mid afternoon.

well boys, no deer this weekend.[:@]I think I have ADD or something, I cant seem to sit still for nothing.[&:]I saw 1 doe tonight at 150 yards, and she was on the move. I will be out as much as possible this week, I get done work at 4:00 every day, so I can be out on stand by 5:00. So who else is hunting?

Hey guys, how is everyone doing this week? Went out last night after work to move a stand, so didnt hunt last night, and I decided to take today off too, and let it kool off out there. I will be going out tomorrow after work. We are suppose to have a North, Northwest wind,so I can try out one of my other stands, cant wait.

Sorry haven't been around much. Haven't been able to post lately, getting some odd errors, but I'm back now.
Our season hasn't started yet other than Doe in certain areas. I have a tag but too warm for me to be out there. Archery statewide opens next weekend.

Hey guys,just wanted to let my fellow Bone Collectors teamates to know,I'm cleared to go back to work and my back feels pretty good.I busted out the old mathews legacy today,screwed on four muzzy 100 grain 3 bladers tuned the feathers with the blades and shot 2 from 20 and 2 from 30 all were vasectomy!!that's dead nutz to anyone who does'nt know,so I'll shoot every day til oct 1 then it's killin time!!Whoooooooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck shoot straight and go team 25 bone collectors!!!!!

I finally made it out this weekend. I sat in my best stand most of the day on Saturday, but didn't see anything.
Sunday I switch from the woods to a field edge. Five buck came within 15 yards, two 4 pts, two small 8's, and one maybe shooter came through, but he was just before shooting time. He looked big in the binos but I don't know for sure what he is. Too Hot!!! for MN 85 degrees and sunny. Good Luck to all.

Well, I went out saturday morning for about 2 hours, then I started feeling ill. Spent saturday afternoon till this morning in bed with a nasty bug!! 90+ hours! Being sick sucks!!!! Feeling a little better now, and finally went back to work today, so hopefully I'll be back in the woods within the next couple days!!

Thank you for the well wishes I wish I felt better about getting out there. I had a very busy Sept and was able to hang stands but they were hung with minimal scouting by myself. I just hope for the best. I do have NY and Illinois if Pa dont work out.

At 3:50 today, I let one loose, at a turkey! Perfect 20 yd broadside shot! I thought the shot was perfect, it rolled the turkey right over! He started flopping around for 5 seconds or so, then he jumped up, and off he ran! Once he got 100 or so yards away he stopped, and started pucking. Over the next minute and a half, he must have alarm pucked 30 times!! The other 6 turkeys just stood there not knowing what to do! I had another one of them in almost the exact same spot as the first one, but decided not to shoot! I didn't want to look for 2 birds. Well, I spent from about 4:15 till 6:45 looking, without success!!
