Chase, I recommend the g-5 ME sight or a tru-glo with a tritium top pin. As far as rests, I use the trophy taker shakey hunter. I also like the QAD.

Alright, Chase... here goes.

1.) I shot a 60 lb hog today. I have confidence in my new slick trick broadheads, my new hoyt trykon, and in my scouting ability. I feel good.

2.) season opens on October 13. I have three spots picked out. I feel really good about two of them. Assuming I have anything other than a Westerly or south westerly wind, I'll be on a funnel coming from a ridgetop to a flood plain on the choctawahatchee river.

3.) I'll hunt that morning and evening, hoping to get both a doe and a buck in velvet. I'll be happy just to be hunting, but I think I've at least got a doe with my name on it!

4.) I am a pastor, so hunting that Sunday is out for the 14th. That happens to be our committment Sunday for our Stewardship/Discipleship series. Following the covered dish supper, I will take two or three friends to Fort Deposit, AL for two days of hunting on October 15 and 16.

5.) In the meantime, I have decided to buy a new sight. I am going to get that G-5 ME. Another friend is getting into the sport and he is going to buy my Tru-glo.

6.) Good luck guys.

Hey guys! Sorry I've haven't been on here much lately, just lots goin on here at work.
My season opened today but obviously I'm stuck here workin nights. I wish i lived closer to my lease.[] Anyway, Iwas up there Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday working on camp stuff mostly. My buddy and I woke up early Tuesday morning and snuck in to my new spot where I planted some seed. I just wanted to see if the hogs had found it yet and to check my camera. My lil plot looked great and no sign of hogs. I had 185 pics on the camera. The battery was dead though. I think those hogs screwed up my solar charger at the last camera location. I'll be checking it out soon, maybe I can repair it. Alot of the pics were basically nothing. I have it mounted to a small pine and I think the wind was causing the empty pics. I did have several pics of does and doe fawns, a button buck. I'll be moving the camera to watch a different spot in my area just to get different view.

Anyway, I'm hoping to finally get to hunt next Saturday. It really really really suckswhen you wait all year for bow season and it gets here and I have to work on the opener.

here's a couple of pics

I think she looks poorly. What do y'all think? Not sure what the mark is on her side either???

Good pic, TX. Where's the bucks?

Here's a pic of the hog I shot today. He weighed in at a whopping60lbs. My buddy was supposed to shoot the big on on the left. I just couldn't take it any longer and made the shot.
