didnt make it out today...at all. worked on myh truck till noon or one, then after realizing the wind was CRAP....AGAIN.....i decided i would hit up the Eric Church concert, which was pretty good i thought. ill be knocking down doves tomorow afternoon, so looks like itll be afterschool this week before i can go again.

Here are some pics from Friday evening of my main farm I hunt. 2,000 acres. Its almost 1.5 miles long ofstrait woodline with some fingers, pockets etc... its actually tough to hunt a large property like this just because of the size. There is a creek that runs parallel to the woodline sothere is no real funnel areas except for some fingers dumpin into the field which is where I have stand hung for early season when they are all still feeding on beans, especially where fingers start and have lower areas that the deer are hidden from the main filed elevation as they enter the field. After early season I hunt hardwoods near creeks that are between thickets and bedding areas but I havent been in the woods at all sice July when I hung my stands close to where the bigger bucks have been entering the field.

another view of the same stand, there are actually 2 islands about 30 yards out from the main woodline which funnels the deer around or between the 2 islands which makes an easy 30 yard shot no matter which way they go around the island Im in
