Two more weekends to get it done for me. The bucks are starting to slowly show back up on the camera, but it may be too little too late. I drew on a doe this weekend only to have to let down due to lack of daylight. Everything looked the same through my peep.[:@]

Better late than never! Ya think this will put us in the running?
I think he's gonna score about 110, official score to follow. Story on main page.
Those of you still hunting, keep at it!!

OK team - the prodigal member is still here. First and foremost, I do want to appologize for not being on here more than I have been!, been checking in every two or three weeks, but have not been posting any... more on that to come, but I am sorry!
H.O. - Congrats! he is a great buck! - thanks for sharing the story. He will make abeautiful mount!
SRH – have not seen the pic yet – will try to check it out – but congrats none the less!
My hunting this year has been a bust!Only made it out 4 times, two afternoons up here, one evening and morning back home. The afternoons were more timber therapy than anything, had ten or so does and a couple of spikers both afternoons, the second day had a doe at 5 - 10 yards for 20 minutes or so (was hunting off the ground with no blind) also had one unidentified deer that acted like a big buck close (20 yards)at dusk. It was big bodied but I could not get glass on any antlers.
The two hunts at the farm would have been better spent doing something else! – one afternoon hunt was interrupted by one of the idiots harassing us and driving by all the stands (ran two does off – and no deer seen the rest of the evening). Next morning – return of the idiot in an attempt to do the same – got the sheriff involved – long story short, we threw in the towel at the request of the sheriff. I thought (hoped and prayed) to make it back out before season closed – but no dice.
This year has been horrendous from virtually all aspects! – we have been behind at work worse than any year I can remember. Home – between September 15 and December 15 we had been to either the doctor, ER, etc at least once a week and a couple of times three times a week. (averaged missed 1-1 ½ days a week at work as well), not to mention the disowned family issues (idiots mentioned above). I am glad to put a wrap on 2007 and am hoping for much better 2008!
Guys – I am truly sorry I did not get anything put on the ground for the team! – responsibilities dictated virtually no time for me to be in the stand (or online) this year – and I am sorry.
I hope everyone has a safe and prosperous 2008. I will still be checking in (not sure if anyone other than Jon is still out there or not? – Best of luck!
Take care - Mike

Mike, no problem about not connecting. Were these PETAtype idiots?
Here's a pic of the buck, and a link. It's been fun!

Well gang, just came in from my last hunt for the season. One big male coyote and that's it. The G5 montec absolutely whipped him. Dropped him in his tracks and never even twitched. I jumped a bunch of deer feeding in a field on my way out, but that was my afternoon. I tagged a few does this season, but was unable to put any antlers on the ground. Only had one shot at a shooter all season. As other's on the team suggested at the start of the contest, EHD might hurt. It did. I took pics of 2 big boys that bit the dust on one of our IL farms. I've got another good 2.5 year old rack hanging in the shed that died to EHD as well. I'll post some pics in a minute.
I'm going to enjoy the last few days of waterfowl season and then rest for a while. God bless ya'll. It was fun.
