Getting close......our season begins Sept. 15

Took me a while to find the thread, I thought it had fell off the map..

I went to the lease and forgot my camera card so I left the camera in place and refreshed the bait sight. it had 194 pics and was hard to leave, but it can hold much more than that.

I hung a lock-on and put up the tripod. Time to stay out if i can help it.

Looks like a critter chewed thru the straps on one cam. It flipped over and the lens was facing the tree. Another cam was getting triggered by the sun, nothing much there. The third had more does. Grrrr.A few minutes ago I got a phone call from the friend that got me hooked up on that land I hung my stand on. He was hanging out with the landowner behind the house having some beers and had to call me to tell me there was a big ol doe hanging out under my stand and he saw another deer walk by it while he was there. I know some nice bucks travel through there so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that spot. Can't hunt there til Oct 1, but I'll be hunting in CT on Sep 15!

I was able to get a picrture of a nice 8 pointer as well as a couple of bears, when I figure out how I uploaded the pictures last time I will post them.

Nice pic Dmen! Couple of good bucks you've got there. I got a phone call this morning, 7 does hanging out by my stand yesterday evening, no bucks though.

Higgy, I am not sure if it is frost or dew, but we did have a cold spell that week with temps going into the mid 30's early in the am.
