Well opening day wasn't bad. I didnt get one but I saw one so it was a good day. Almost hit one on the way home, does that count for anything if I hit it?

Saw 5 smaller bucks Sat. eve and 3 Sunday. All non-shooters unfortunately. Boy did they move well in the cooler temps! Off again this week to try for the biggie. Good luck to all!

T3, Those are some nice bucks! Good Luck! Of course, my luck with bucks remains the same. Got to the spot I've been hunting in CT, the landowner's wife was bringing her horses in. I said hi and she laughed. Said last Sunday, that nice buck was hanging out in her field. She figures he knows theres no hunting on Sundays, lol. Anyway, before hearing about this buck I figured this place was good for a doe or 2, and I just needed to break the ice. Had a nice doe work her way into my shooting lane a little before 6 tonight. You can check out my post in the bowhunting forum, but now she's hangin in my friend's walk in fridge

well I have some good news. I have been watching this 12 0r 14 point come out of the woods at the same time and same place for the last 4 nights in a row. I think I am goin after him tonight wish me luck.

I also have good news for the team. I picked up a better lease with a more promissing rack potential. No Monster mid west deer, but much better than my East texas lease has to offer. And yes, there will be cactus involved, maybe a rattle snake or two.....[8D]

my season starts tomorrow. I will be hunting tomorrow afternoon thru Saturday night.I will keep you guys posted if I should get lucky.
