My new bow is not here yet, but I will be a busy(er) man when it does get here...

The deer are really beginning to show themselves lately, and I have seen some really nice deer in a handful of my spots! September 8th cant come soon enough!

Just checking in. I have been doinga lot of scouting and hanging stands. Been seeing some nice bucks our season opens Sept. 29 Good luck team.

Hi guys. Just got back from a run and saw a monster buck. I would say he would go upper 150's to lower 160's. He was in a county park that allows no hunting. Smart buck. I'll try to get some pictures over the next few weeks. He has 2 followers with him that easily went 120's to low 130's. All three were standing on the side of a steep drop-off/cliff.

Two to three weeks ago I snuck up on 3 brother bucks that all of them were perfect monsters. All I had on me was my water bottle. Each buck was an eight.

Guy's, I've been in football mode. I've got two nephews in college ball. One is superman, he just shows up and jumps in the phone both ready to go. The other one is X-Men. He is an absolute freak of nature and a joy to watch on the field. Then I have my son, who is having fun playing in rec league. Every Sat. is taken up watching games. Don't worry. I will put a buck on the board for the team. I will also keep every team member fired up to get over the goal line and win this contest!!!!!!

Hey guys, I just got back from slayin' some doves in Western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. Last night was pretty slow because they had killed 130 birds the night before, but this morning I killed a limit. My roommate also found a matching pair of sheds from a deer that scores in the mid 130's at least. They were laying perfectly side by side when he found them. Anyway, I'm ready for some venison now...

I went with the wife down to St. Michaels, MD for a B&B get-a-way. We had beautiful weather, great food and lots of drinks.

Hey guys,

Hung some last minute stands and like I always do, I sat in one of them for a while after I hung it...I had a nice little 5 pointer come in to 25 yards and offer a beautiful broadside shot...too bad opening day is this saturday!

It's a good sign though! (not that I would have shot the little fella this early in the season)

Sorry guys, I don't waste the time hanging stands. I hand in my stand when I choose to hunt the tree I'm hunting. I'm on board with the pic. I'm personally thinking of hunting Sat. so I can shoot one in velvit and be first on the board. Then agin, I thought chiggers.[:@]

I'll be out scouting this weekend with Davepjr on some nearby land. Should be a good time.

I am also waiting for my game camera to produce some videos (15 sec in length) that I'll post up here if anything is good.

If you guys like the avatar, take the blue text one and save it to your computer and upload it to your profile. I already sized it down to the correct size for uploading.

I will admit, I was a little dissapointed in elkslayer. I know he has a lot of stuff going on but we were the 4th or 5th team to ask him for an avatar. Even the teams that asked after us got their avatar.

Dang dwd, wish I was tagging along. I'm right now getting my bow tweaked before this up coming season. I finally broke down because I had some extra time and traveled to a good bowshop. They should have me done shortly so I'm having breakfast. Can't wait to shoot this afternoon.

Well guys I am back from Idaho. Had elk around us but unable to close the deal on one. They sure are a challenge. They were not bugling much, but were always trying to get around down wind when we would call. Had a deer tag but only saw one buck who managed to elude me. Anyway wisconsin bow season starts saturday. I will be able to hunt on monday.

Howdy gents,

I have been having SO many problems with HNI. I have been using my name and password to log in. Once I log in, I am signed in as somebody else!!! Ridiculous!

Half the time I can't log in and half the time I am some guy from Illinois!

Anywho, did some scouting with Davepjr this past weekend. I ended up with at least 30 ticks on my right hand. I must have touched a tree or leaf and they all transfered onto my hand. Crazy part is that deet didn't do a thing! I was fully sprayed down.

Oh I forgot to tell ya, I had my game camera out on my land in Wisconsin. We got some nice 5 second videos of bucks in our area. I'll try to post them when I can.

Man, I have been having difficulty logging into HNI as well. That pretty much has kept me away for the past week, as well as the fact I am swamped with student teaching right now.

Basically, I get home and don't really care to do much at all.

Hopefully when season rolls around, my motivation level will increase and I will use my free time wisely. :D

Fieldmouse, I don't consider that a "stand", I consider it a luxury condo in the middle of nowhere.

MDBUCKHUNTER, thanks for that lovely avatar....I see you put a lot of time and effort into it. Hopefully you didn't lose too manybrain cells completing that masterpiece, especially afterwhat had to be lengthy and painstaking trial and error runs.

DWD, good luck on the Elktrip....hope everything goes well and you can snap a photos and capture a few moments to share with the rest of us when you return. Be safe bro!

Quit posting on stuff that doesn't matter after the student teaching comment. Please, fill us in on the details. How many "A"s went out to girls who did extra credit? Is it true theyONLY need a short skirt for an "A" or does that only get a "B" in your book. Don't worry, you can spill the beans. Only the team is reading this.:D
