I only wish my wife would hunt. Before we married, she told me that she fished, hunted and camped. Well after that hook'em and snook'em day, she's never and would never hunt, she's only camped once in her backyard (changed since marraige) and fishes (only if I bait the hook while holding onto my (fishing) rod and reeling in the fish on a slow day. When with my son she would bait her own hook, go fiqure).

My wife doesn't hunt either. I don't think she would do well with our group of hunters. It's like a frat house some days.

I have only made it out three times so far...each time I have seen deer and I could have shot two already but I passed due to weather conditions (rain, and hot weather). No sweat though, they were only small deer.

My season goes until the second week of december, so there is plenty of time!

I hunted sat-tuesday. Killed a doe tues. evening. Saw one shooter buck but not for a shot. Neighbor has been seeing two very nice bucks on my property. I will catch up with one of them eventually.

Fantastic. I'll be hitting the woods soon. Work has me all tied up. I'm going to stop by the local sporting goods shop on my way to work today. Maybe I'll find some deals on archery products.

Hey guys, how's it going? Just got back from the elk hunt and it was a blast! Now it's time to slay the whitetails. Season opens for us on the 1st for us, I think I'll be able to get off early and head to the company lease... I can't wait!!!

Good Luck on the opener Tom. I am going to try a new spot close to home monday. It's an abandoned apple orchard with lots and lots of sign. I may hunt it again tuesday and than head up to my land. Boys we are spending way too much time buried on page two.

Good luck to you also!. But I don't think I will be making it out to the stand for a few days, What I though was an ear infection has turned out to be an abscess tooth. So I'm invery very severepain. It's kind of a bummer.

Well the hunting is starting to pick up here as the temperatures go down. I could've shot a few does, but I have passed to this point...but my father got a decent buck last night...

Well guys, still thinking about getting out. I may put it off til next month. Tonight, I met a guy on my flight who invited me to hunt 2000ac in Al. Don't get you hopes up because this has happened before with a CEO who lived in KS. Never got to hunt it. Besides deer just don't get that big down there. I told him I will shoot what ever he tells me but I won't pass a 150 or better.

Ok so my season opened Monday, but I have yet to get into the woods do to having a tooth extracted yesterday. But now it is feeling much better and I WILL be on stand this weekend, and I can not wait:D

Great, we have a few hunting. I have a few pretty bucks running around my property but I'm leaving them for my neighbor. I just spoke to one of my hunting buds and he has some more hot spots to hunt. I'm holding off another month. Have no fear, I will put a buck on this board.

Guy's we trail on the pages. I just ordered my new target. I wish I did it sooner because my bow was sinking them deep to the vanes in my old one. Anyhow, getting ready for next month to begin.

Hey, you'll get a kick out of this, Today I went down below in my yard to get my trailer out to go cut grass at one of my rentals. The way my yard is my trailer is really just below my deck in between my deck and my 35yard target spot when I'm shooting. It just happens to be about 30' below where I shoot. Anyway, backed my truck up to the trailer and walked back to hitch it up and that's when he jumped up and ran off. One of the 10 points that's hangs out around my house was sleeping right behind the trailer. He didn't jump until I got to the back of my truck. I bet he's watched me several times park my truck down there and walk back up to my house.

Belated Happy Birthday DW.
I hunted tuesday thru friday. Mostly just does, lots of does. With all the heat I decided to hunt over the pond and had a small eight come in and wade around for a half hour. Back to work for the next week before doing it again. Hope some of you guys get a chance to hunt this week.

I have been hunting a little more lately, and I have gotten some results from it. Last saturday I got two deer, one nice doe, and a smaller doe...I have some pictures but I havent put them on the computer yet.

I am just waiting for the nice buck to walk by so we can get on the board!

Bought my NC license yesterday and was going out this morning but I couldn't get past the chigger's in my mind. Still waiting for the frost, if there will be one this year.

Cool, nice to pop one already.

Well, I'm going out in the morning. My neighbor called and wanted to know if I wanted to hunt. I said yes so I'm just going in my backyard tomorrow. I'm 99.9% sure I won't shoot a buck. The big ones here usually only get to the low 130's. I may pop a doe. The good news is, I'm going north next week. I'm going to email the owner of my secret honey hole and hunt on tuesday. This place is loaded. With any luck one of the monster's will show and offer me a shot.

Well good news bad news. Went to back down my bow to get her ready for serious hunting and one of my limb bolts was stuck. I was unable to get it unstuck and worst yet, unable to equalize the limbs. Long story short, shipped it overnight back to the factory to get it fixed. I guess I'm not hunting tuesady in my honey hole.

Now for the good news, I looked at my pay stub and noticed I'm sitting on 160 hours of vacation. Guess who's not going to work the last three weeks in November? I'll get my bow back in two weeks throw my scope and quiver back on and be already for the rut. To top that off, one of my hunting buds went on a mission to get new places to hunt and picked up several new properties he said are loaded. So don't worry about me. I will put a buck on the board again this year. I'm just hoping to get a shot at at least a 150 class if not bigger.

I hunted monday thru thursday (the 18th). It rained on me on every hunt. Saw only one buck. He was a young eight that came in shortly after I did a light rattling sequence. Most of the corn is still standing and probably will be for a while. Anyone else out hunting?

I'm doing the same thing...waiting for Rut. I'll be hunting hard in Wisconsin from Nov. 1st to Nov. 11th. Until then....I sit here and twitle my thumbs.

Got home today and waiting for me was my bow. I will get the scope back on it tomorrow and just may go out. I saw my first real shooter here in NC. Real nice ten point, I might have to hunt around here this week.

Well threw on the scope. It took three shots to align it. Took a couple of 25 yrd shots to double check. Came home to a few bambi's in my yard and dropped one. Man it felt great. Took him down the carnivor preserve and got face to face with a 450# tiger. All I can saw is wow. I'm going out tonight to shoot another doe to feed to the cats tomorrow.
