Tom2008 checking in from Minnesota! This will be my first deer contest here so I hope I can be good asset to the team. My season opens up September 15th and I'm all set for that day. I might just trim up the trails to the stands and make a mock scrape or two. I have a suggestion for a team name too. I've always liked Antler Assassins let me know what you guys think.

Since you guys are begging to know more about me. . .I'll humor you and devulgealittle about myself:

Age: 24

Married: Yes, soon to be 3 years

Children: Yes, 2 year old Mason and baby boy #2 on the way, due Nov. 4th.

I live in IL, hunt in IL, and farm for a living. I am currently finishing up my Elementary Education Degree, I have to student teach this upcoming semester. I really don't know why I am going to school to become a teacher, asI will most likely continue to farm after I get my degree.

Ohh, and I hate mushrooms and tomatoes.

Here is a little about myself too I guess. I am 17 years old and am going to be a Senior in High School this year! I plan on hunting at my cabin for the most part on weekends and I also have a Whitetail and Mule Deer Antlerless hunt in Montana coming up in November. I pretty much base everything I do around the outdoors. I shed hunt, fish, hike, camp, bow hunt, rifle hunt, shotgun hunt, a little bit of small game, and 4 wheeling.

Age: 27

Married: Yes

Children: No, two sphynx kitties

I live in Maryland, hunt on our family land in Wisconsin.

I have a BS in Civil Engineering and am currently working for an engineering firm in Maryland as a Highway Engineer/Project Manager.

I can't stand Tomatoes, Broccoli, people who don't know how to use a turn signal and women who "try" to drive an SUV while chatting on the cell phone.

I have been bowhunting since 1994. I started hunting with a PSE Nova and last year upgraded to what I have listed below. I hunt on land that is managed in the QDM program. Last year I had a beautiful 13 pointer running around my stand but he gave me no shots. This year I am going to arrow that buck.

Good luck to your group from Team 19.

I'm tryng to get MDBUCKHUNTER to hunt MD this year with me. You guys have got to put some pressure on him for me. He's a good shot but needs new glasses. He can't see the target to well. Looks like your whole team is in trouble from what RDHunter is saying.

I'll help clarify some things for you guys. . .RD is indeed busting some chops.

DWD, myself, RD, among others attended the HNI Hunt'n Camp this past summer. RD got pounded by mosquitoes. . .shot at a 3-D target only to hit a rock and shatter an arrow, along with almost losing his camper on the way home.

I really find myself quite a good teammate and DWD is a stand-up guy himself (even though he is from Okieville). . .don't worry about the fact that I win Benny Franklin's by shooting at exploding deer either! ;)[8D]

And, I did a little private investigation and found that Michiganhunter has0, yes"zero"post? How did he sign up then?

I believe itmay bea typo. If you look on the sign up list there is a michigan hunter14 listed as #53. I don't see him listed with any other teams so I am assuming this is our guy.

RE: 26-Official Team 26 Thread

I'm fired up. 20 years bow hunting. Seen some monsters and some years multiple times out but never had a shot at them. See a ton of nice bucks where I hunt but I try to pass them up until late and/or I know I'm running out of days to be in the woods.

Buckslayer, where do you hunt? I have access to property up in the WVU panhandle. I saw some awesome bucks though in Charleston, right next to the airport 2 weeks ago. They weren't wider then about 18 inches or so but very high racks. They were in upper 130's. Just got me excited to see the pair mid afternoon if you know what I mean.

MdBuckhunter, where do you hunt? I spend most of my time in Montgomery and Howard county. Been hunting there for a lot of years. I live in NC and do have some nice property, but my neighbor's boy started hunting last year and I want him to take one of the bucks running in my neighborhood. Also the chiggers down here are the pits until late October. I have to be desparate to hunt before that in NC.

Last place I have access to and I'm might try the trip is Illinois. I've been invited out there several times. If I went, it would be a short trip but because I don't know exactly where or anything about the place, I think I would chaulk it up to a boondoggle trip rather then hunting but you never know.;)

Good luck and let's win this thing. I'd like to be the first to repeat.

RE: 26-Official Team 26 Thread

Fieldmouse,

I hunt primarily in Wisconsin (Sauk County) for 10 peak rut days a year. We have some monsters running our land and I am hoping to bag one this year. We do QDM so the antlers must be outside of the bucks ears. (which usually isn't a problem)

I am also thinking about hunting second season in Maryland. Maybe the Fort Meade area with Davepjr (Team #19). It's hard to transfer gear from one place to another and money to do so usually becomes an issue. I'll also have to see how work goes. First season archery is usually equal to second season of Construction and that means I am super busy.

I'm here, I'm here!! We just finisheda reallybig project today so my free time will be in a much more abundant fashion. I've picked up a couple of new places and now I'll finally have time to go check them out. I hunt primarily in Oklahoma and Texas... but in September my two best friends and I are going Elk hunting in Wyoming and I can't wait for that either...
