Do what's best for you and your herd. This is about having fun. Any buck will give us some more points so have a great time with this and do what you need to.

I would take him.. don't worry about the contest.. It's just for fun... Some others around here take this way too seriously and lose sight of why we are out there!
Do what is in your best interest... What makes him a cull buck?

Hi guys.....haven't been seeing much here. We just got 8 inches of snow on Saturday and we are supposed to get another 5 inches today. Muzzleloading goes through tomorrow and then we have a 4 day doe only season. Then starting next Monday I will pick up the bow again until January 6th. By the way mbhutton do you have a pic of the 3yr old 3 pointer? I would be interested in seeing it.

My bad luck streak just won't end! The rear end of my truck went out this week. There's at least $800 down the drain. Also hunted almost the entire gun season here and never saw a buck bigger than a five point. Sure don't know where they hide during the day, but am still getting good ones at night on my trail cams. Who knows? On a brighter note, my doctor released me to full duty at work today, finally. It's been a long 2 1/2 months. Anxious to do some bowhunting now. Keep hoping for some really bad weather to move in to put the deer on a food source pattern. Please send some positive energy my way, and don't worry yet, I've still got a little over a month to put one on the board.
