Scott I have been behind in my post reading.

Congrats on a Nice buck. Having Rob on my team last year I know what it is like to "Carry" him. Now he even has a bad leg
Germ, at least I replaced you with a guy who can put down a 160" animal too! [8D]

Went out last night... nothing again.
MY buddy Jery scored. He is the one who shot the bear I posted earlier. His 2nd the w/ the bow. Nice doe. We went out and tracked and recovered her last night.
He was pumped!

The good times are just around the corner. The next month should be fun seeing what everyone is killing. Good luck to everyone!

Went out this afternoon but only saw one that another hunter kicked up. The bucks are starting to dog some of the does so it should start getting interesting.

Out this morning. Walked out my front door, up over the knoll about 150-200 yards and sat up. I took my climber for the first time. The leg bothered me and didn't let me go as far as I wanted to go. I still passed up a small 3 x 1, 4 point at 24 yards. It was a legal buck but I passed. What was really neat was a flock of turkeys got together below me about 60 yards...very cool vocalizations.

Went out again this AM and still nothing...
strange... lots of sign... last year I saw deer every day of the first week there.
Must all be nocturnal.
It has been very warm and there is tons of feed around here this year.
Hopefully when we get some cold weather things will start to happen.
I'll still go out every chance I get.

Well guys getting ready to head out the door for my hour drive down to the hunting property to hopefully get one of the big boys this morning. A kid over the ridge shot a 140" 8 last Sunday so that gives me some hope. It has been raining all week and today is the supposed to be the first dry day so hopefully that will have the deer moving more. Good luck to you all and stay safe!

Good luck,

Good luck guys, not a hair this morning. Found a new rub on a good size tree though, something was there...lol it's still early. It's going to get better. Will be out this afternoon.
