well guys, I think my odds of getting a bow buck this year are slim to none. muzzleloader goes until 12/10 after that i'll have 3 more weeks of bowhunting. But, that is my non hunting/fishing time of the year (3 whole weeks) so I won't be able to hunt much. Ice fishing will just be getting ramped up and I'm prettyexcited for it this year. The only angle I have is that I just bought 40 acres last week and the wife might understand that I'm dying to get a buck off my own property. I saw one deer on friday, i wasn't really paying attention and spooked it. it was walking right towards me too. dangit!

anyway, I think the top scores are pretty incredible. 8/10 getting bucks with several nice ones. that is going to be tough for anyone to beat, even us at this point. fieldmouse, we were counting on you for 180+ inches. what happened?

I still have 2 months left. I just don't know if I can get out of work as much as I did this month. I can say I've been in the woods a lot more this year then years past. I think I hunted 3-4 days every week this month. Now I have to get cracking again.

Where is my team. Come on guys lets bring home the bacon. If you think your season's over fly east and I will put you on a decent buck. Heck, the way my luck goes I'll put you on a monster I want to shoot and I say shoot away.

I'm still here. I'm taking Friday off to hunt my newly purchased 40 acres. I have some nice trail cam pics but this time of year is next to impossible. I don't think I've even ever seen a shooter buck after the Minnesota gun season has ended.

So, I'm just hoping for a doe. Especially now that the butcher lost my deer from October 29th!!! Dang butcher, I could have screamed at him. oh wait, i did!

I am still here and hunting hard every day or so when I can keep my eyes open. Seen a few smaller bucks and a monster half rack but nothing I will put on my wall but the season is still young...lol I have shot 3 nice bucks in Jan. and I hope to make it a 4th this yr if not before. Me and my buddies main property they finally finished logging it and we put out 2 corn spreaders so I figure in next couple of weeks the deer will be hitting them hard. Alos set up our groundblinds 30 yrds from the spreaders and well camoed in all the treetops so hopefully a nice buck will drop in and get dropped.

Good luck to all

Have we been able to get ahold of the other team mates who we havent heard anything from? I hope you are all enjoying the remainder of the season. I will be going out for the extra weekend of gun this up coming week.

I went out w/ my muzzleloader this weekend and saw 6 does. i almost dropped the hammer on one when another doe that i didn't even see winded me. my only option is bow now. I'll be out again next weekend, probably hunt only once a weekend until the end of the year (also the end of my season). I have only seen two bucks this year, both too small to shoot, ugh! I do kind of regret not shooting a five point that I saw earlier this year. It got shot by some goof balls during the slug season. hind sight is 20/20 i guess.

anyway, good luck all!

Sorry I haven't been back guys. I was kinda upset over the totally terrible(deer wise) season second season I had. I will not be getting a gun deer this year as my season is over. I am still going out with a bow, but its been pretty bad. Good luck to the rest of you though.
