Well guys, I back. I survived Hawaii. I can tell you that after two weeks on the road, I was ready to get home. Never did put a line in the water. Never did mountain biking. What I did do was dive all weekend long. I forgot how much fun diving was. I haven't done that since 89. This Christmas, my daughter is getting lessons because I need a dive buddy.
Moving forward, I'm ready to start getting serious about hunting. I have to travel again next week but the following week I plan on going to my honey holes. I'll get a good pre rut look at them and who knows, maybe a hiker, golfer or horseback rider will kick one worth shooting my way. This time of year coming up is real good for that since folks like to stroll the woods looking at the changing leaves. Good luck guys!

From: East Liverpool, OH,
I got royallyscrewed and am really upset over this.Since I been stuck to hunting private ground this yr I been doing alot of scouting on the run. Well Thursday I saw a big big buck late in the day at about 100 yrds in the late evening. The next morning I snuck in and hunted in the same place then at noon I snuck down the ridge to scout out where I saw the big buck the prevous evening and found a killer drainage with a massive trail running about 40yrds above it So I set up my ground blind in some real nice cover. The drainage sits just up the ridge from a thick swamp right bewtween the swamp and the only good crop field in the area which is planted in soybeans. About 45 mins before dark I saw the big buck again but he didn't come all the way up to the big trail above the drainage instead he walked a very small trail right at the top of the drainage. I also saw 9 does and 3 other small bucks(non shooters) After the buck moved out of the area I studied the cover down close to the drainage and picked out a nice deadfall that my groundblind would hide very well in and would give me a 20yrdshot on the small trail and still have a 30yrd shot at the heavy trail. After dark I quietly moved my ground blind down into this dead fall and snuck out of the area.Unfortantly friday night I had to go to work after I left the woods. I work 12 hr shifts friday night and saterday night last week so I wasn't going to get back to the groundblind till sunday evening. Well at work friday night I was telling some guys about the stand and we was all sharing our stories from the weeks hunting and I told them about finding the drainage and seeing the big buck. Saterday night (sunday morning) One of the guys who was off that night comes into work and tells us he got a monster buck so we all go out to check it out. This guy has a 600 acre lease in some of the best woods I have ever seen. The more I looked at the buck the more Icouldn't beleive how muchit looked like the buck I saw the 2 prevous evenings. So I ask him where did he get it and he said " From your ground blind. Since you said you wasn't hunting saterday I figured it is on public ground so I went and hunted from it." Well needless to say I am pissed. The buck I figured will gross in the mid 180's and will net prolly high 170's.A 11 point with a perfect 10 point framewith a 23" spread.I still can't beleive this can happen. I still got 1 more good shooter buckthat I know about to go after butnot allowed to start hunting this public property till after the 15th so now I am got to just chill for a week and wait
HopefullyI don't get screwed on this 1 also.
T3 awsome buck and congrates man
