Good luck tonight Troy - hope to hear some good news from you soon.
Hey, has Mike been out lately? I think I remember him saying something about his vacation sometime in Nov.? Or am I losing my mind?
Man, I wish we had two more weeks of bow season. It's supposed to be sooooooo nice this weekend. Hmph! [>:]
Is anyone else hunting tonight?

Mike,
Good to see you bud, figured you had a big Iowa slob on the ground by now! Sounds like things are heating up over there! Tell J Iexpectpictures soon! Good luck to you fellas..I'll give ya call today as I head home Mike.. talk to ya soon..
Ole grey buck lives about 15 miles away...hunting that spot all day Friday..have work off.... but the "point" has to have a big one in there...too much coverand shelas on that ground not too...
Quick, if all the Non Resident tags hadnt sold out, I'd say catch a plane...and come out for week of whitetail huntin'

Sorry TroyI got corn-fused, I was thinking the grey buck was there - so to make it fair - I re-tossed twice - so I am forced to amend my vote to
Point
Sorry - that just ticks me off! - my heart was telling me Yeller - but who can argue with the fate of a coin-toss

I hope you guys had better weather than we have - it's been a steady soaking rain for the past 16 hours.
Ryan - did those maps make sense to you, if you need any further explanation, just shoot me a PM. I won't be able to go down there with you this weekend, b/c I had some stuff come up with the wife (honeydo's), and if I know what's good for me, I'll be honeydoing.
Troy - any luck last night
Mike - keep at it bro - I'm sure you'll tag out sooner or later. By the way, how does your tag situation work in IA? Just one buck total, or one buck for archery + one for rifle.
Hoosier - is all the corn off out there yet?
BD - been out lately?
IL - don't get frustrated - it only takes 10 seconds to have the hunt of your lifetime.
By the way, the deercamp offer still stands, so if any of you guys feel like a road trip, come on out. It's free except for the $101 NR license buck tag. We've been getting thin on hunters over the past few years, and this year is no exception - only 4 gunners, and endless acreage to cover.

Hey guys - best of luck to everyone still out there!
Fran - we can get two buck tags one archery and one gun (shotgun or muzzeloader) - only rifle hunting is a special late season doe hunt in the bottom two rows of counties in January for a short period (cannot remember the specifics) - and we cannot use our bows during the shotgun seasons (basically three weeks in December) - then back open till the 10th of Jan (I believe).
I still have some time scheduled off- but is getting tough - have had one or two days off per week the last couple of weeks - that coupled with all day meetings, conferences etc. - not much time to get any work done - and the honey do's are piling up big time (especially with the little one getting close). - I will do my best - have had opportunities on nice bucks - but just cannot shoot them - too much promise for the future! There is still time though.
OH - the tahoe almost scored on one Tuesday night on my drive back - barely got stopped and everything came rushing up to the front as this buck just walked across the highway 6 inches from the front. - Left side had a decent brow tine and 6 inches of main beam then busted off - right side was a long tined5 pt.
The buck magnet/free pass situation for the does will be comming off possibly this weekend - about time to re-fire up the smackdown process on them - also this weekend will be a combo pheasant hunt/deer hunt weekend - going with Dad, Jand a friend upfrom Kansas. - although it is tough for me to take much time away from the stand.
It did look like some of you guys were going to get some after shock from that storm to the south - that looked to be a real mess.
Take care and good luck - Mike
